This course will focus on concept and graphic design for the World Wide Web. The projects will encourage innovation and experimentation and will look beyond the basics to explore new multimedia possibilities in the field. The tools used will be examined in a fine art as well as in a commercial context. Various techniques of internet production will be covered including basic HTML, animated GIFS, FIreworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash.

Course Requirements
keep a notebook for any non-digital assignments (ie, drawings,
research, notes). This notebook will be graded at the end of the semester.
This class will present a lot of material in a short period of time. This material will be complicated, technical, and detail-oriented. Prompt attendance for all class periods is essential. If you miss a class more than once you will not get an A in this course . Class will start on time . If you are late more that 3 times you will not get an A in this course. This course also requires AT LEAST 4 hours a week of outside lab time. These kinds of projects require a lot of time and energy. They will be impossible to complete unless you work consistently throughout the semester and stay with the class. LATE WORK will be graded down at least one letter grade and will not be accepted at all unless by prior arrangement.
It is also important that you bring the necessary files and materials with you each time you come to class. These are studio classes and it is expected that you work during the classes.

All students must pay a lab fee of $25.00. Please give Matthew
Hopping, the lab manager the fee in cash or by checks made out to
