Research Group Facilities Video Message
| Professor Stacey E.
Brenner Our group occupies two lab rooms centrally located in the chemistry department at Brooklyn College. Our next-door neighbor to the east is the other organic chemistry research group (of Prof. Greer). Our next-door neighbor to the west is the brand new departmental PerkinElmer HPLC, purchased in 2006. Our group owns several chiral, normal phase HPLC columns, and luckily for us, we don’t have to travel very far to use them. Next door to the HPLC is the departmental 400 MHz Bruker NMR. In our labs, we own a Varian GC and several chiral columns for use with this instrument, as well as a JASCO polarimeter. We also have a student room where students can sit on the couch and catch up on the latest literature, heat up a snack to energize them for a long, exciting day in lab, and/or use the computer to look up something interesting on SciFinder Scholar and peruse the numerous online journals to which Brooklyn College subscribes.
