Welcome to the Chemistry Department at Brooklyn College
The chemistry department at Brooklyn College has a distinct history recognized by the American Chemical Society to prepare chemistry major students to enter the workplace in industry, education or health fields. It also provides a solid foundation for graduates who plan to go on for professional training or to graduate school.
The department offers exciting opportunities for undergarduate and graduate students to
pursue their goals in diverse areas of research. Housed in the Ingersoll Hall, students can conduct
research with a member of the graduate faculty in analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry
and biochemistry.
