Virtual CC 1.1
Course Requirements
This section of CC 1.1 will meet once
a week, on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m.. In place of
the Wednesday meeting, there will be an
on-line discussion each
week.
You are required to attend all the classroom meetings. This is
especially important since there are fewer of them than in a regular
class. If you miss more than one class without a valid, documented
excuse, your grade
will be lowered. It's just as important that you log on to the course
web
site several times a week to keep up with group discussions and
to
add your own contributions.
The key to getting a good grade in CC 1.1 is keeping up with
the assignments every single week. In Virtual Core 1, the course which is being replaced by CC 1.1, most students have done a very good job of this. Having a new
topic to discuss on line
each week helps to keep both the students and the instructor focused.
The two papers will count a total of 25%; the mid-term test
will count 20%; and the cumulative final exam will count 25%. The
remaining 30% of your grade will be based on your contribution to our
discussions throughout the semester, both in class and on the web.
I will not accept late papers except by special arrangement
made in advance.
