Teachers Get Support: Nearly 3,000 New York Teachers packed Manhattan Center Tuesday night to approve the action of Local 5, American Federation of Teachers Executive Board which had instructed President Charles Hendley to surrender membership lists to the Rapp-Coudert Committee. Teachers pledged to continue to fight for free education in the state.
