Program Requirements: A minimum of 12
credits as specified below, each completed with grade C- or higher, plus any
prerequisite of the courses, including Environmental Studies 1.
Philosophy 15.1 (environmental ethics).
Sociology 28 (environmental sociology).
One of the followings:
Geology 22 (geology in urban areas)
Health and Nutrition 24 (epidemiology).
The proposed minor is for students that do not choose to major in Environmental Studies but wish to complement their major with environmental education. It includes Environmental Studies 1 as a prerequisite to Environmental Studies 75. Students will be advised to take Environmental Studies 1 before taking any of the other required courses.
The minor retains the same balance as the major between the social and the natural sciences.
