| The virtual dinosaur laboratory
comprises the lab component of the Dinosaur Core 8.2 sections. It consists of a
semester-long research project on dinosaur paleobiology. Lab work consists of an
integrated series of short experiments focused on a single research theme. These
experiments involve different, but complementary, methods and learning techniques.
Much of the work you will be doing involves web-based study for which you must have access to a computer connected to the Internet. Some of the work will be conducted in class during the normal, scheduled meeting time. A field trip to the dinosaur collection at the American Museum of Natural History is also part of the lab work. | |
