PART 1 - INSTRUCTIONS:

  • As descibed below, transfer the information from Deposition Evaluation Form (H-5) by typing it into the appropriate spaces in the table below. For each item, enter the information to the right of the colon (:).
  • First, make sure that for each landform, you indicate 'Grain Attachment'.
  • If the grains are 'attached', then
    • for 'Layering', 'Sorting', 'Depositional Landform Shape', and 'Highly Supported Agent(s)', choose 'NR' (Not Relevant).
    • for 'Support for Prediction', choose 'Low'.
  • If the grains are 'unattached', then
    • fill in choices for 'Layering', 'Sorting', 'Depositional Landform Shape', and 'Highly Supported Agent(s)' from Form H-5.
      • NOTE: Remember, for 'Highly Supported Agent(s)', there should be NO entries unless all of 'Layering', 'Sorting', and 'Depositional Landform Shape' support the proposed choice of agent. If there is no such full support, then leave the space blank.
      • NOTE: For NYC landforms composed of unattached grains, 'NR' is not a valid choice for Highly Supported Agents.
    • for 'Support for Prediction' choose 'Excellent' if one or more amongst ice/melt/slide/flood were chosen for 'Highly Supported Agent(s)'.
    • for 'Support for Prediction' choose 'Intermediate' if no choices were made for 'Highly Supported Agent(s)'.
