TIME - INTRODUCTION

The time at which an event occurred (its 'age'), may be expressed in two ways: as 'relative age' or as 'absolute' age'.
  • Relative age expresses sequence: the order in which two or more events occurred (which came first, which second, etc.) or whether events occurred at the same time.
  • Absolute age indicates the actual number of years ago an event took place.
