ROUGH TOR, BODMIN MOOR, CORNWALL, U.K.

Exposed at the tops of moorland hills, the bedrock reveals a series of vertical and horizontal fractures. Chemical weathering has eaten into the rock adjacent to the fractures, producing a series of stacked, detached or partly detached blocks.
