Course Description: |
The importance of the scientific literature in evaluating clinical techniques. Use and interpretation of this literature. Review of relevant research techniques. Examination of recent findings in topic of current clinical interest and their relation to clinical practice. |

Course Objectives: |
Upon completion of the seminar, student will be able to:
- Perform a basic physical assessment
- Develop a business plan
- Participate in private practice and reimbursement issues
- Describe alternative medicine modalities
- Understand the concepts in each of the 5 domains to prepare for the RD examination

Course Requirements: |
This seminar is part of the Dietetic Internship Program and must be taken in conjunction with HNS 722.2X: Fieldwork in Dietetic Practice II.
Students are expected to attend all scheduled seminar classes. Students will keep a logbook of activities in each rotation, present a summary of activities each week, and submit completed assignments. |
