MODERNIZATION AND WESTERN POWER
Continuing our work
on the 19th-century modernization film, in this session we look at the
expansion of western imperialism as a focus for the three modernizing
forces we've studied the last three sessions. First, read TB chapter
34 and the
online notes for Lecture X. Then let's start by
examining some documents.
