CHRONOLOGY

BIBLIOGRAPHY

THEME: In the forty years after the Crucifixion,  Jesus' followers in various communities in Palestine and the eastern Mediterranean developed views of the Christ of Faith which we encounter in the canonical Gospels written between 70 C. E. and the end of the first century. This period, from around 30 to about 70 is known as the Apostolic Age. The period from 70 to the end of the century is the sub apostolic period. These two periods were marked by:
bulletthe spread of the Jesus Movement from Judea and Galilee to Syria, Asia Minor, Greece, Egypt, and Italy, and the the establishment of communities in major cities and towns of the Jewish Diaspora.

 CHRONOLOGY

Compiling chronologies involves interpretations. The compiler's point of view influences the choice of events. Here's one chronology of the Apostolic Age from a Roman Catholic compiler.
