An
abstract should contain a brief account of the main points you
gather from readings you have done. For my courses, an abstract should
not exceed two pages in a format with normal (11-12) font, 1-inch
margins, double-spaced. It will have an initial paragraph outlining what
you have read and your main conclusions or perceptions. Thereafter, a
series of two to four further paragraphs present a concise report of
main issues.
