A native New Yorker, I live with my human family and two cats in Douglaston (northeastern Queens), on the shore of Long Island Sound, from where, on July 4, I can see the fireworks set off in Manhattan, 18 miles away (but cannot, sadly, any longer see the World Trade Center towers). |
