At
present there are 50+ state of the art PC's and we anticipate adding a
few Mac's soon.
All
available software appears on the desktop. The same software is loaded
on all machines. Watch for new software, coming soon! We offer Internet
access, Office 97 (Word, Access PowerPoint, Excel), Corel Word Perfect,
SPSS, Logo and a few others.
High quality laser printing is available at 10 cents a sheet for b/w or 25 cents a sheet for color printing.
Zip drives, a fax machine and scanning services (by appointment only) are coming soon.
Groups of three or more can sign up for a conference room with a computer at the Service Desk. The rooms are allocated for two hour blocks of time but you can remain longer if there is not another group waiting. Conference rooms are on a first come, first served basis only.
A black and white photocopier is located in the niche near the group study rooms. A telephone and rest rooms are available on site.
In
addition, food and beverages are available, however, consumption is limited
to the non-carpeted cafe area: food and drinks are not permitted in the
conference rooms nor in the workstation area. Tables are provided for your
dining comfort. A casual lounge area with banquettes and data jacks that
is enclosed in a metal mesh cone giving it an airy openness as well as
a sense of privacy is also provided.
