Centrally located on the campus is Brooklyn College's Library Café. With its extended hours it is open later than any other campus computing or library facility. Modeled on the popular Internet cafés of Manhattan, our state-of-the-art facility offers all the usual amenities along with a variety of academic services including CUNY+, electronic journals, reference tools, indexes, databases and CD-ROM products located on the Library's local area network. Laser printing in color or black and white is available for a modest fee, as well as copy machines. The Library Café houses 50 high-speed networked computer workstations with full access to the World Wide Web, e-mail, and many popular software packages including word processing and several graphics programs. It also offers four group study rooms, lounge seating and a conversation pit. Casual reading material is available in the lounge area. It's all designed to encourage interaction, learning and sociability in a relaxed and appealing atmosphere.
