Developed by the Sport Information Resource Centre, this is a comprehensive,  international database covering practical and research literature in sports medicine, exercise psychology, biomechanics, psychology, training, coaching,  fitness and physical education. Includes bibliographic citations, abstracts from 1500 periodicals, articles, books, conference proceedings, dissertations, theses, and research papers. 

Medline Plus - From National Library of Medicine/NIH, comprehensive site of medical resources, including full-text ADAM encyclopedia, medical dictionaries, directories of doctors, hospitals and credentials, access to organizations, consumer health libraries, publications. Data on clinial research studies.

Health Reference Center
Indexes more than 200 health-related journals, 150 in full text

CINAHL
Indexes and abstracts articles from more than 1,000 allied health journals, with links to full text. Offers references to new books, book chapters, pamphlets, audiovisuals, dissertations and other materials. Coverage begins in 1982. Some full-text material is included.

InteliHealth - This megasite from Johns Hopkins provides comprehensive medical data including MedCite, topic-driven medical literature service covering 4,000 medial/health journals, Drug Reference Center, Webster Medical Dictionary and links to dozens of health Web sites. Free, but must register. 

Merck Manual - Full text and abstracts of Merck's comprehensive Manual of Medical Information, with extensive articles on blood disorders, diseases, infections.

National Center for Health Statistics - Center for Disease Control growth charts, surveys and data on diseases, disabilities, injuries, healthcare, motality, and state health profiles.

NOAH - Latest health information and resources, local government agencies, health sites, operated by New York Academy of Medicine.
