The Inventory List
Placed inside a sealed envelope was an inventory list for the box dated
January 8, 1937. Materials in the box included a copy of the New York Times,
Brooklyn College bulletins, photographs, maps, 1936 coins, metal seals,
the Inauguration Booklet for President Boylan, and a detailed report on
how the Midwood Campus was purchased. (See Document).
If you examine the document closely, you will notice that it is entitled
"Material in Cornerstone of Gymnasiun Building," which is Roosevelt
Hall! The question remains: Is there a cornerstone box in
Roosevelt that really belonged in Boylan or was it just a typo? |
