The Papers of Our Lady of Mercy
Roman Catholic Church

Scope and Content Note



 
 

The papers of the Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church were surveyed on November 8, 2001.  All surveyed documents are housed in the office of the church secretary.  The office has a total of three file cabinets with four drawers each (apporximately 48 cubic feet).  The formats include file folders, photographw, audio tape, video tape, ledgers and computer files.  The computer files have been kept since 1998 and are in Microsoftr word and Excel.

The reocrds include financial records, church bulletins, letters, and minutes to meetings.  The ledgers are hanwritten are are divided into baptism, wedding, funeral, communion and confirmation-which is a standard procedure in Roman Catholic record keeping.
