Citation Guides:

Most teachers will require that you put your researched matter in MLA Format. After doing quite a bit of research on a topic, writers have a tendency to forget what ideas were their own originally and which ones were gathered from other sources. A good way to check is to review your writing style. If you notice that your writing takes on a new tone, mood, or includes diction or phrasing that you don't often use, chances are that that change is evidence of gathered material rather than original material.
