Task 3

On the homepage, open LEZIONE 1.

Read the material up to the STOP SIGN.

Using the materials in the LEZIONE write as many sentences as you can about yourself.  Don't worry about TU etc. FOCUS ONLY ON SENTENCES WITH  io

You will find how to say  "I am (man-woman-American- student etc); "I live in";  "I live with" "I work"; "My name is..."

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT ASKING QUESTIONS. FOCUS ONLY ON WRITING ABOUT YOURSELF.

READ THOSE SENTENCES ALOUD TO YOURSELF. Memorize them.
This will be the ORAL part of your quiz.

TASK 4:

Familiarize yourself with Italian media

Click to open HUFFINGTON POST in ITALIAN

Take a look at the homepage. Read the headlines.
Find 10 words you can understand without dictionary.

List the words and the translation.
Model:  importante VUOL DIRE important
(I have no idea if you will find the word importante: this is only an example)

Dig through the site until you find an article about a topic that is familiar to you. Copy the headline and URL and write in English what it is about.

(examples of topics you probably don't know much about: Italian politics, European Union squabbles, Italian banking crises etc.
However if there are articles about Lady Gaga, George Clooney or soccer probably you can relate.)
