At the least, describe a two-step process: first impression; final judgment.

It can be more than that, for instance, you can begin with
1) expectation;
2) first impression;
3) adjusting your attention/focus (if needed);
4) re-examination of information
5) final judgment
6) seasoning and long term effect.

He died; a small person eaten by a growing city. Life will continue, how? Who cares, Somehow. The workers, as soon as their thoughts drift into dreams, gods man will fall from their imagination straight to the concrete. His wife, 7 kids, a woman who did her job, now to do what the dead man did. His children will be in pain, but not the same kind of pain of a child who lost a parent they knew. Life will continue even when yours stops. Maybe it will be the first time you wonder how everyone does, because surly you are not the only one with problems.
