as we saw, is a very flexible preposition, with many functions
(think of "on" in English). Its most common meaning is
"from"

In combination with the definite articles, it becomes respectively....

Possessive adjectives

"Tu" is used fort the informal address

" il tuo, la tua, i tuoi, le tue"
are the corresponding possessive adjectives.

"Lei" (capital "L") is formal address.

It follows that the corresponding possessive
should be the third person...
