BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
Following instructions:
Using the mouse
- When instructions tell you to "Go to" it means you have to move the mouse and place the cursor – shaped like an arrow -- to that particular item (button, icon, word, etc). After placing the cursor on the item, you will have to click to execute an action (select or open).
- "Click" means you have to click the LEFT button of your mouse. Sometimes to activate a function you have to double-click.
- To "select" a document, you click once and the corresponding icon becomes highlighted.
- To "open" a document or a program you must click twice on the corresponding icon.
- "Click and Drag" allows you to move and/or copy documents. You have to click (one click only) the icon, keep the button pressed (don’t let go) and move the mouse dragging the icon wherever you want it to go. When you are finished with the move, let go the button.
- "Right click" means you click the RIGHT button of the mouse. This will open a MENU with a variety of options.
- The symbol > means a sequence of action. Normally it means "Go to XY and click"
Whenever you open a program or a window, in the top rightmost corner you will see three boxes, one with a line, one with one or two squares, one with an X
Click on the line _ to minimize the window.
Click on the overlapping squares to reduce/expand the window
Click on the X to close the window.
