WINDOWS EXPLORER
Create a new folder
Insert a diskette in the floppy drive. This drive is known as the "A drive"
Go to the START button > Programs > Windows Explorer and click.
Windows Explorer gives you a complete view of what is on your computer.
Click on the + sign to open the drives and see what is in it.
Also click on the folder icon to see its content displayed on the right partition.
TO CREATE A NEW FOLDER ON YOUR "A: DRIVE"
In Windows Explorer, in the Left portion, click on the icon representing the A: drive.
Go to "File" > New > Folder.
A new folder will appear in the right portion of Wexplorer.
Move the cursor anywhere on the blank screen a click.
Move the cursor back on the New Folder icon and RIGHT CLICK.
Scroll down the menu, to "Rename". When it is highlighted, click.
Type a new name for your folder.
TO CREATE A SUBFOLDER INSIDE THE FOLDER YOU JUST CREATED
Double click the folder you just named.
In the "Address" linebox you will see A:\foldername (with the name of your newly created folder).
A:\foldername is the PATH that tells you the position of the item you are working with.
Since your folder is empty, the right portion will appear blank.
Go to "File" > New> Folder.
Repeat the procedure to name this new subfolder.
