END OF SEMESTER REMINDERS:

I.  Your final grade will be determined by the following:

·         Attendance/participation/presentation/quizzes: 20%

Part of the attendance/participation grade includes either an oral in-class presentation, or, for those who didn't make an oral presentation, a one-page precis of an article from the class reading list. If you didn't make an oral presentation, be sure to turn in a one page precis.

·         Midterm: 15%

·         Eight page essay: 25%

·         Three page typed report on a gender/sexuality studies lecture (or a film, if you cannot make an event) that you attend outside of class: 15%

·         Final exam: 25%

II. Rewriting one part of the midterm

If you would like to rewrite Part III or Part II of the midterm (you can only rewrite one part), you can turn the rewrite -- type written -- in with your final take - home exam. For your grade on this part of the midterm to improve, your answer must be markedly improved: it must refers to the articles we've studied in class, the different perspectives offered by the authors; and concrete examples studied in class.
