Piazza San Marco, Busch Gardens Amusement Park, Virginia. August, 1990.

As the two previous images are easily recognized as segues from Material Spatial Practices to Representations of Spaces, so this idealized Ethnic Theme Park, the Piazza San Marco in Busch Gardens, Virginia makes it possible for us to not only understand how visualized ideas can transcend space and time, but how easily they can be trivialized and cheaply commodified. A major value of photographic images is that at least the "good ones" are sufficiently meaningful to reduce the need for written comment.
