Welcome to the home page for Project. Take a look at What's New in our web.

The Learning Café project was proposed and designed to aid the students of the participating high schools by offering them courses designed by Brooklyn College faculty and Internet -Accessible computers for their campuses.  The students will receive career and college guidance, training in computer and Internet use, web page creation, and   preparation for introductory college courses.

The purpose of this is to both keep students from dropping out of high school, but increase their odds of succeeding in college.

The Learning Café project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Telecommunications and Information Administration.

What's New

The grant, now offering our virtual courses to eleven Brooklyn high schools, has been extended until the year 2000.  For more information click on the link below.
