1. From the soundfiles with oral
questions, choose 10 questions, write them down and send them to one of your
classmates. I would like my students from IT 1 not to work together but to
contact the 'new' students.
Once you have received the answers, report what you found out.

(dead or alive) using as many adjectives as possible, provided they make

Free association: next to each verb write a NOUN with the DEFINITE ARTICLE.

3. BLOG: Using the DISPENSA SCRIVERE - LEGGERE, formulate 3 specific
questions for one classmates. EXAMPLE: "Mario, do you read novels at night
at the library?" Once you receive the questions, post your answer as an
additional comment to the post.

WEEK 3
1. DISPENSA n. 10:
Choose 15 verbs that you consider to be the most important. READ ALL THE
VERBS FIRST, then choose your top 15. For each verb write a SHORT sentence.
The subject MUST BE A NOUN, not a pronoun like 'io' 'tu' etc. Use both
singular and plural nouns.
EXAMPLE: THE STOMACH DIGESTS THE FOOD.
2. DISPENSA n. 11: VERBI IRE ex 1. Conjugate the verbs.
3. SOUNDFILE: record an mp3 file. Conjugate PARTIRE, CAPIRE and PULIRE.
4. DISPENSA SCRIVERE - LEGGERE: using names of famous authors, write 5
sentences indicating what kind of literature they wrote (but use the present
tense.) EXAMPLE: Virgil writes poems.

In DISPENSA 11 choose 4 verbs each from the two categories, DEBOLE and
FORTE. Choose verbs DIFFERENT than those in Dispensa 12.
LIST THE VERBS AT THE TOP OF THE TASK
Use the material in dispensa 12 AND dispensa 9 to write one sentence each
with the verbs in your list.
2. USE AMARE AND PREFERIRE. Write 5 meaningful sentences following this
EXAMPLE:
I love spaghetti but I prefer fusilli.
Do not use 'io' or other subject pronouns. Use concrete subjects (animals,
names of professions [cook, carpenter, poet]. Use both singular and plural.)
BLOG: choose a classmate and write 5 questions using the AMARE PREFERIRE
structure above. Student A will ask student B. Student B will ask student C
and so forth. In other words, don't do PAIR WORK (asking each other.)
3. REPORT the answers you received from your classmate. TO REPORT means you
have to tell me what they said. Do not copy their answers: convert them to

Use an online dictionary to find the TRANSLATION, and the PAST PARTICIPLE of
these verbs. Then write the form of the PASSATO PROSSIMO as required by the
subject pronoun (obviously you must determine if the verb is TRANSITIVE or
INTRANSITIVE)

Write the
rules for the formation of the PASSATO PROSSIMO with TRANSITIVE VERBS (this
is for your own sake. If you don't know how to put it together you won't be
able to do the tasks.)
PASSATO PROSSIMO is a compound tense: it means it is a combination of a
conjugated VERB and the PAST PARTICIPLE of the verb that indicate the
action.
EX in English: I HAVE EATEN --- Have is the conjugated verb. In this
position it is called AUXILIARY. "EATEN" is the PAST PARTICIPLE and it
indicates the action.
With Transitive verbs, do you make an agreement between SUBJECT (sing/plur;
masc/fem) and the form of the PAST PARTICIPLE?
