from MOONSTRUCK

·         Loretta comes off as tough, independent, caring and controlling woman. She drives a car, tells Johnny what not to eat at the restaurant and for him to wear a sun hat.

·          "A man who can't control his woman is funny", said Johnny. It is interesting because he cannot control his woman either. I am not even sure it is possible for anyone to control a woman.

·          Johnny didn't stand on his knee when he proposed to Loretta, neither he bought her a ring. She had to demand him to do so. It seems to me that he didn't really think about any of these things because he is not an attentive person.

·         Loretta doesn't believe in curse but believes in bad luck. She started to believe in it after her husband died.

·         Without any hesitation Loretta told her mother that she doesn't love Johnny. Love brings problems. I can agree and disagree at the same time. Once a person feels love, he/she becomes more emotional but without love, a person cannot fully enjoy the relationship.

·         Johnny is a very emotional person

·         Ronny, Johnny's brother, is unhappy, depressed and mad at Johnny because he lost his arm five years ago and blames Johnny for it

·         Cosmo, Loretta's father, is having an affair. He has a great wife, don't really understand why men cheat.

·         Loretta cheated with Ronny, like father like daughter. Although, I felt less disappointed with her than with Cosmo.

·         Cosmo's father is a dog lover, such a sweet old man

·         Raymond and Rita have sweet relationship, opposite of what Cosmo and Rose have

·         Religious family

·         Loretta went to the opera with Ronny and saw Cosmo with another woman

·         Without seeing it herself, Rose felt that Cosmo was cheating on her. Strong instincts.

·         Compared to Johnny, Ronny is such a gentleman. I am not surprised Loretta fall for him.

·         Rose is a loyal wife and knows the values of the family. Cosmo should be grateful.

·         "Men fear death". I don't believe that a person needs more than one lover to feel loved. As long as a person shares his/her life with a truly great person, one that deserves the utmost respect in this world and one that makes a person feel truly powerful, that fear of death completely disappears.

·         Rose confronted Cosmo about his affair and asked him to stop seeing another woman. It takes a lot of guts to feel what she must have felt and stay as calm as she was. I can tell she was hurt but she truly loved her husband. Although, love isn't enough. A loving relationship is supposed to supplement person's individual identity, not damage it or replace it.

·         Irony was added at the end. Johnny said he cannot marry Loretta because then his mother will get sick again and Loretta was insisting that he promised her with a ring and must keep the promise even though she was in love with another man already.

·         I am happy that Loretta picked Ronny instead of Johnny. Johnny seemed like a boring man and Loretta wouldn't be happy with him anyway.
