ANTI - WAR SOCIETY ASKS UNITED FRONT

An appeal for a united front against war was voiced Friday by Mrs. Annie E. Gray, director of the Women's Peace Society at a meeting of teachers, parents, and students called by the New York Teachers Anti-War Committee at Washington Irving High School.

Other speakers at the meeting were Joseph Budish, who was expelled from City College because of anti-war activities there, Herman MacKawain of the National League for Negro Rights, and Irving Adler, secretary of the Teachers Anti-War Committee. Henry Woods was chairman of the meeting.

The speakers urged that all teachers use their tremendous influence over their pupils, not favoring war as they did during the World War, but opposing all imperialist war.
