Suspend Sentences
Of 3 Girl Pickets

Three women students, arrested on February 14 for picketing Dean's Cafeteria. 577 Fulton Street, failed to appear at their trials on April 16 and were tried separately from the other girls who were arrested with them.

Warrants were issued for the arrest of the girls for contempt of court. Two of the girls had examinations which could not be postponed and one forgot about the trial.

When the case was brought up, the girls were given suspended sentence.

The four girls who were tried by Magistrate L. Eilperin on April 19 were put on six months probation and were vigorously denounced by the magistrate.
