The Progressive Tenses
 Progressive  means that the action is still continuing or happening. In other words, the action is ongoing. They are usually formed with the addition of the present participle (the -ing form of the verb).

 

The Present Progressive: 

This tense shows that the action is continuing at present. 
The ozone layer is disappearing. 

 

The Past Progressive: 

The past progressive describes an action that began in the past and is continuing. 
The kitchen tap has been dripping for hours. 

 

The Future Progressive: 
Actions that will occur in the future and will continue from that point. 
I will be talking.
