This
is a wild and rare-treat that's known by many other names including
Slant and Slash.
We're
used to seeing slashes used in conjunction with numerical fractions,
such as 7/8. It represents the division between the numerator and the
denominator.
In
English, the virgule is used:
rotations/second,
minutes/second, cups/gallon, etc...
The
