  1. You should be able to use and define/describe the following words:

      hypothesis mutation metabolism

      theory organ tissue
      cell organ system carbohydrate
      lipid protein nucleic acid
  2. You should be able to:
    1. List the steps in the scientific method and apply them to investigating a sample scientific problem.
    2. List the characteristics of living things.
    3. Give examples of what is meant by metabolism and homeostasis.
    4. Arrange in order the levels that constitute biological organization.

If you do not take the Midterm exam on the appointed date and time, you will receive a grade of 0.

Your grade for this course is based on your midterm, your final and your lab grade, each of which is equal to 1/3 of your grade.
