Topics are numbered consecutively and listed under the major themes at the left.  I will lecture on some topics; others will be covered by class or online discussion or collaborative investigation assignments. Notice there is an assignment for each of the five thematic parts of the course.

Topic notes will refer to the appropriate sources and provide questions for a critical use of the materials. The schedule also lists assigned reading, including online documents.
